Mr. O’Carroll is the Managing Member of EROC Advisors, LLC.
Mr. O’Carroll is a finance, operations and sales process expert and advisor who has more than 25 years of experience as an executive at Tampa’s most prominent community banks. He has served hundreds of local businesses as they grew, merged and adapted to ever-changing global, national and regional economic conditions.

Prior to EROC Advisors, Mr. O’Carroll was Senior Vice President of Seacoast Bank, Senior Vice President and Operations Manager for Mobilization Funding, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of GulfShore Bank, Senior Vice President and head of Middle Market Commercial Banking at Fifth Third Bank and EVP of Commercial Banking and Treasury Management for Bank of St. Petersburg.

- Extended engagement to help launch Climate First Bank as their founding Senior Loan Officer. Created credit and loan policy, created process and procedures in accordance with policy, implemented sales process, hired, and managed commercial bankers. Created residential and commercial solar loan program. Managed team that posted more than $75,000,000 in new loans during the 7-month engagement.
- Outsourced Executive/CFO for transportation logistics company (ongoing). Helped bring accounting in house with the hiring of controller, trained the new controller, helped create performance metrics and strategic initiatives and review on a regular basis
Applicable highlights:
- Ed just completed assisting with the launch of Climate First Bank a Pending Certified B-Corp focused on reducing carbon footprint.
- Ed served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of GulfShore Bank when it was sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2017. At that time, the bank’s enterprise value exceeded $70 million. This included multiple capital raises with total proceeds in excess of $35 million. The company expanded assets from $40 million to $340 million during his time there, and revenue increased from $900,000 to $10.8 million.
- While fulfilling a non-compete agreement during 2018, he assisted businesses with financial forecasting and raising private capital. He also developed extensive business models for a start-up company, a role in which he generated multiple growth scenarios, verification of revenue and cost assumptions as well as ROE analysis.
- While Ed was Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking and Treasury Management for the Bank of St. Petersburg, the bank grew its assets from $70 million to over $700 million over a 4-year period. He played an instrumental role in evaluating and implementing all new technology including on-line treasury management systems.

In addition to his role at EROC Advisors, Mr. O’Carroll serves on the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels of Tampa and is co-chair of the Capital Campaign to fuel the organization’s expansion locally. MOW prepares and delivers over 800 meals each day to our homebound neighbors in Tampa who struggle with food insecurity and isolation.
