Mr. Caballero is a Managing Member of EROC Advisors, LLC.
From April 2017 until November 2017, Mr. Caballero was the Tampa Bay Market President and EVP for Seacoast Bank. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of GulfShore Bank and GulfShore Bancshares, Inc. During his eight years tenure in this role, he led the recapitalization and turn-around of the bank and its ultimate sale to Seacoast National Bank, with an enterprise value in excess of $70 million. This included multiple capital raises with total proceeds in excess of $35 million. The company expanded assets from $40 million to $340 million during this period, and revenue increased from $900 thousand to $10.8 million.
Prior to his role at GulfShore Bank, Mr. Caballero was the CEO and President of a three-bank holding company, which over a four-year period grew from $70 million in assets to over $700 million. During this time, revenues increased from approximately $3 million to in excess of $19 million. During his leadership, over $100 million dollars of capital was raised. Included in the growth of the company were the chartering of a new financial institution in Jacksonville and the acquisition of a bank in Tallahassee.
Mr. Caballero started his career in the management program for Bank of America’s predecessor NCNB. During his time there, he worked in the problem asset resolution division and also in the Financial Strategies Group. This group covered large private and public clients and focused on corporate finance solutions and merger and acquisitions.

Mr. Caballero also has numerous investments and board involvement in which he participates in providing financial, governance and business guidance. These include the restaurant/hospitality, health care, insurance, education, and the automotive dealership industries. He has also worked in the private wealth management industry for Alliance Bernstein.
He holds a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University; a Masters of Accountancy from the University of South Florida; and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida. He was a Certificate of Merit recipient on the May 2001 CPA exam, achieving the third highest score in Florida. He previously held his Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 securities licenses.
Mr. Caballero is an independent director for Carter Multifamily Growth & Income Funds II & III.
Mr. Caballero was born in Tampa and attended Jesuit High School. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the School. He is on the Finance Committee and the Investment Committee for the school. He is a member and past President of the Jesuit Foundation.
He is a director of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Institute (member of the Executive Committee); the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Hospital; the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation (member of Executive Committee); Chair of the Joint Finance Committee; member of the Executive Benefits and Compensation Committee; member and past chair of the Joint Investment Committee; member of the Joint Strategy committee; and past chair of the Audit Committee.
He is also a member of the Roche Surety and Roche Surety and Casualty Boards, where he participates on the audit committee; the Eastern US Board of the Salesian Sisters; and an Investment Committee member for the Jesuits – Central and Southern US Province. He is a member of the FICPA, AICPA.
